21 Oct: We arrive and have a surreal taxi ride all the way through Mumbai at 2 in the morning. Once away from the airport the streets are very quiet, pavements filled with sleeping bodies, and taxi drivers slumped asleep over their car bonnets.
22 Oct: Indian Gate and Leopoles for lunch (one spot victim of the attacks by gunmen earlier in the year). Andy encourages a good pic from a sunglass seller. We're offered the chance to be extras in a Bollywood movie but decline in a wonderfully blaze fashion.
23 Oct: Elaphanta island, some impressive statues carved inside caves. Chris appears to have a picture taking problem. Chris and Andy suffer from curry spillages in the evening.We sample some Mumbai nightlife (expecting good things) but it ends up a bit dull, perhaps because it was a Wednesday night....
