George wanted Egypt to sustain from acquiring a new regime. His home in downtown, which is at the very heart of political engagements, is only a few steps away from Tahrir Square. Inevitably, the chanting of the demonstrators seems to flow into his home. Throughout the protests, George hears the activists telling him and others in his complex to "come down and join us" from the streets. The nearest George gets to a physical reaction- or any reaction at all for that matter- is an ear scratch.
