My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My main goals in life are to stay positive and enjoy everything I do. I love many things but I only have a few true passions: photography, travel, and new experiences.
I bought my first DSLR two years ago just before going on the Trans-Siberian Railway with my girlfriend. This incredible trip enabled me to consolidate all 3 of my passions, which gave me a feeling that I can’t live without.
My obsession for photography comes from the ability to freeze time and tell a visual story. I recently looked at some photos of my great-grandfather and it reminded me that I'm a pictorial historian. My goal with my photos is to draw such strong emotions from the viewers that they never forget my images.
My career goal is to be sent around the world on missions to capture incredible story-telling shots. Eventually, I’d like to offer photography courses or be a college professor in order to share my knowledge with others.
Winning this opportunity would be a dream come true and learning from Jason would change my life forever. With my only training being from online videos, I truly believe this scholarship could give me the chance to learn enough to make my passions a continuous reality.
