He collects and sells rubbish to feed his family because his wife is too weak to work. She's currently 75 years old and he's in his 80. His income is enough to buy rice only. No protein, no vegetable, no medicine, no clean water.

He never told me his name. He, along with his wife, has been living on the bank of the Red River for more than 20 years now, homeless. Based on some help of the surrounding residents, he built their floating house few years ago from woods, oil barrels and any kind of urbanised leftover which helped the house float and be strong.

Every day after work, he always spent time playing with his dogs, which had been given by the surrounding residents. Although the rice was only sufficient for day-to-day survival, he still kept the dogs as ''happiness and peace are more important than materialistic things
