"Knowledge of photography is just as important as that of the alphabet. The illiterate of the future will be a person ignorant of the use of the camera as well as the pen."
Our world is always changing and we have to change with in order to adapt.
When I was little, we did not have a camera at all. On my birthdays, my mom was taking me to a professional photographer. From each year until I reached 10 or 12 years old, I don't have other memories from my childhood saved on photos ... I have only one-two pictures taken on my birthday in the very same studio. Just enough to follow the progress as I was growing.
It's enough, isn't it?
Hopefully I now have a digital camera...and plenty of pictures of me and my family.
It is also not that difficult to find a semi-professional photographer to make me pictures for free...but it is not a good way to learn how to take pictures when you are in front of the camera.
I have studied for a semester in my university " Artistic photography and composition" and the classes were interesting, but they only gave me some basics of shooting. Why did I take this course? Because I love art. I also love photography.
I spent one week in Dresden, where I took the pictures that I send you. I did not pick photos of my hometown, because I think that they would be less spontaneous. I like to travel, to take photos...and even if I think that I will never become a pro I want to learn more about shooting...and photography is not anymore reserved for professionals.
Everybody nowadays use it and need it.
