Mui Ne to Saigon

VIETNAM | Tuesday, 30 December 2008 | Views [553]

The guys were a bit hungover today from their celebration last night so we started out a bit later today.  One the road we stopped at some dragon fruit farms and were given tons of free dragon fruit to eat along with some tea to drink.  From there we stopped to watch a woman make rice paper. She sits all day making rice paper making about 3000 a day.  We got to see it being made what they put in it how they dry it.  We even got to taste some.  It is good!  We hit the road again and just like in the states at the end of they year month etc the cops are out stopping people.  Well here in Vietnam they are too.  Here they stop you for no reason just to get money off you.  So yes Dahn and I got pulled over and he had to pay them off which was hard from him to do since I was there they did not want me seeing that they were just taking money.  They did finally take it and we were off again.  It is hard to explain the beauty of the scenery and seeing the locals doing their thing uninterrupted by tourists.  That is what I really got to experience being with the easy riders.  That night we pulled into Saigon and it was such a shock to see all the westerns it was crazy there were so many and after being the only ones around for so long it was strange to be back with all the tourists.
