Hi, my name is Donna. I love reading, movies; my favourites being Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones and I'm in love with Robert Downey Jnr. I also love the zoo, museums and travel. I enjoy listening to peoples' stories as I believe everyone has something to share. I believe I'd fit in with your team as I have a sense of humour, kind heart an open nature and I like a good talk. I've been an active member of the Rural Fire Service for 17 years and I have loved every moment of it. I am proud that the volunteering spirit has never left Australians. My photos are taken during our Station Open Day. Open Day is an opportunity to recruit new members and share with the public a little bit of what we do and show off our training, but it's the kids faces that make our day. I take with me point and shoot camera everywhere I go. Everywhere. Photography is such a joy. I adore capturing moments that no one else may have. It's always such a private moment when I shoot. The fact that I am then able to share that feeling with all those around me no matter what the subject is really special and an absolute privilege. I sometimes think that all the worlds treasures have been metophorically found and photos, to me, are the last treasures in our lifes adventure. There's never an opportunity to rest on your laurels, and I love that. I love discovering that I can, and do, improve everytime I take a shot, but I've had some shockers too. Ultimately you're never to old to stop learning or striving in your passion. I would love to work in the field of photography, but I honestly just don't know how. To have the opportunity to be mentored by Jason Edwards is just amazing. A chance to learn, grow and pick the brain of someone willing to mentor is a privilege and a chance not to give up. Thank you.
