My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

After a night at Camp 4, I trekked to the top of the Yosemite Falls for my first hike. It was slow and tiresome, but I kept going. At the top a bridge crossed over the river that cascades off the cliff. An approaching storm looms in the sky covering the scarce blue. Shot with my Kodak Easyshare c195

After ten days of driving, I reached the destination of my road trip. I took this photo to represent the beginning of my journey to and up the West Coast of the United States. The freshly paved road contrasts the tones of the sky and terrain. I traveled on many roads, but had to stop for this one. Shot with my Kodak Easyshare c195.

Overlooking the Yosemite Valley, my first campsite is illuminated by the setting sun peaking through the clouds. The shadows from the trees sporadically cover the snow and fallen trees.
