My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

As a photographer I see my particular strength lies in perceiving and being able to capture the mood, the energy and the emotion evoked by a subject or environment. I am self taught and working with a top National Geographic photographer would be a once in a life-time opportunity for me to gain insight into working on an international assignment, the editing process and why certain photos make the cut – it would be a dream come true. Most of what I know has been through working with great photographers and really enjoy the process of learning hands on.
I am a passionate photographer with a sense of adventure, observant, non-intrusive and a very keen learner. I enjoy surf photography, working with artists, musicians and not-for-profit organisations and am looking for an opportunity such as this one to learn and build on my photographic experience to date. Going on this World Nomad Scholarship would be a wonderful start to my year of immersing myself in photography. I think that I have huge potential, talent and tenacity needed to become a good photographer and am looking for a mentoring opportunity such as this one to learn from the best.
