My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Dominika, I am from Poland. I have always been interested in music and the world of sound .I started paying attention to the picture after graduating from the Sound Engineering Department at the Music University in Warsaw and working on the sound for movies. Taking pictures has become my new passion. I realized how much you can say without using the words.

I love travelling since I have been a teenager and I really like telling the stories. I travel as much as possible. And my camera is always with me.

Ryszard Kapuscinski, a Polish journalist, writer and poet, debuted as a photographer in the year 2000. In the introduction to his album "Ryszard Kapuscinski out of Africa" he said: "Every snapshot is a recollection, a rememberance and nothing can sensitise us more to the fragility of time, to its impermanent and fleeting nature - than photography". I totally agree with this opinion.

I am not a good photographer - not yet. But I believe I can be. I am not afraid of hard work, my friends say I have an inquiring mind. This is an amazing opportunity and if I have a chance, I will do my best to use it.
