Private moments glimpsed between the seats of economy class add to the surrealism of the longhaul train ride.

‘Canadian’ is a unique experience: A train ride spanning 4,466 km between Toronto and Vancouver over the course of four days. Few countries can boast such a journey within its borders, and is a totally alien experience for those from smaller island nations. Here a man passes the long hours by drawing ‘Train 1’ on the back of a motion sickness bag.
