My Photo scholarship 2011 entry
Australia | Thursday, October 13, 2011 | 5 photos
I am an amateur photographer with a passion for widlife. I have recently invested in my first professional camera and have been testing and developing my photography skills. I recently went to Australia Zoo and had the opportunity to photograph various animals. During the Australian Zoo Birds of Prey show, I took motion pictures of a Red-Tailed Black Parrot in flight, These were by far my favourite photos from the day. I also took a still photo of a Green Python in its natural habitat, I chose this photo because of the vibrant colour that comes off its bright green skin. My other favourite photo was one of a kangaroo lying on the grass, I had the chance to get right up next to it to take my shot. I also had the chance to get up close to a koala and get an amazing shot of him looking straight into the lens. Last but not least, the Giraffe, I was quite excited to take this photo because its not often you get to see 3 Giraffes so close and with these animals not being native to Australia it was a good opportunity.
