Catching a Moment

It was my second visit to Germany.
We had the feeling of a free flight, probably because of no need to attend the University for the next 2 weeks.
The second day began in a charming place that bears name Pilnitz. I ran into a prophesier so close for the first time there, although we were parted with centuries. We were told a story about an ancient painter, that decorated the façade of the castle with illustration of the life of Chinese so truly, although he had never been to China, and nobody could tell him about it; the voyagers that visited that country only later were very impressed.
So we left for Bamberg. I would never underestimate little towns. The most massive impression left the local “Altes Rathaus”,cause on the one hand it stood to close to seething waters of Regnitz,on the other hand the front wall of the building was decorated with fresco, that seemed ordinary only at the first sight. If you look at the bottom of it, you will see a protuberant leg of an angel, so that it seems it may come out from this painting in a few seconds. The lovers of thrillers and romantics would really love this method of the master. That evening we met at a local bar drinking some beer with an old friend of us. Being saturated with the gothic atmosphere of the town, we seemed to us middle-aged knights and the table looked as if it was round, probably thanks to what we drank, although they used to drink something stronger than that. But the very good quality of “Rauchbier” has to be mentioned separately.
The next town was the residence of Goethe. I can’t remember the quantity of beds that he broke with his wife, too much I think for one family. Nevertheless we also can consider him as a fighter for wealthy way of life, because only Heine was permitted to smoke at his place, but abnormal high carriage in garage could shake this opinion.
The impression of Sans Souci in Potsdam was profanated with a story about the luck of toilet paper and kings receptions, we couldn’t listen to it without making wry faces.
Berlin was almost empty, we had no opinion what happened…
We had much free time here. The only human being we met on our way was a homeless person.Only next to Brandenburger Tor we saw a big column of roller-skaters and police officers, it was really exciting to watch this kind of competition…
The whole voyage seemed to me very amazing and some piquant details can unite any nations in the world.
