Jamaica Part 1: Negril >Lances Bay<Lucea

There is so much to do in Jamaica with only six days it is a complete whirlwind experiance.  We stayed at the Rayon Hotel the first three nights, where Stumpy works and hangs out.  The first full day we had we went out to the reef by way of a glass bottom boat operated by Stumpys uncle.  We saw a gigantic Eagle Ray with a huge wingspan and extremely long tail, not to mention countless little fish, and a really cool Trumpet fish.

Our second full day in Jah, we went on a horseback mountain ride with a friend of Stumpys named Dwayne Darien.  We went through the ghetto section of Negrils downtown (dont be frightened by the word ghetto it just means poor everyone there was very nice) and rode up into the mountains overlooking Negril.  We got to see a 400 year old tree and a house they call the ¨first big house¨ which was said to be a few hundred years old itself.  The trip culminated with a Red Stripe beer on a top of a house overlooking all of Negril.

We spent part of the night in Lucea hanging out with locals (yes we were the only foreigners there) and eating some delicious fish.
