a view from the valley at Ranu Kumbolo, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, Indonesia, July 2011. Ranu Kumbolo is a natural lake at an altitude of about 2400 meters above sea level. This photo taken in the northeast side of the lake where the peak of Mount Semeru (Mahameru) is on the north side. See the grass and weeds turn yellow because at that time was in dry season and the lake water level dropped.

Sunset Jump, Ranu Pani, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, Indonesia, July 2011. Ranu Pani is a hilly and sloping village located at an altitude of about 2000 meters above sea level. When the night is come around 6 p.m. in the afternoon, you can see the sun set at this point of hill. People here lives in the temperature about 5 Celcius degrees and for those who not used to live in low temperature should do acclimatization first, or if don't would suffer from hypothermia.

Terracing, Ngadas, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, Indonesia, July 2011. In Ngadas, there are so many plantation cultivated fields tilled by terracing the land since the contour of the land is hilly and sloping. Many local farmers cultivate cabbage, garlic, potatoes, etc. The climate here is cool, even if the dry season comes, the temperature can reach minus degrees and snowing.
