This was a very cool moment because the photo taken when I was on the Jeep in my way to Ranu Pani. An over weight Jeep full of local farmers passed on Ngadas, a village located at an altitude of about 2000 meters above sea level. They waving their hands to me and my team and seem so excited when see us coming. Views[1130] Terracing, Ngadas, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, Indonesia, July 2011. In Ngadas, there are so many plantation cultivated fields tilled by terracing the land since the contour of the land is hilly and sloping. Many local farmers cultivate cabbage, garlic, potatoes, etc. The climate here is cool, even if the dry season comes, the temperature can reach minus degrees and snowing. Views[1358] a view from the valley at Ranu Kumbolo, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, Indonesia, July 2011. Ranu Kumbolo is a natural lake at an altitude of about 2400 meters above sea level. This photo taken in the northeast side of the lake where the peak of Mount Semeru (Mahameru) is on the north side. See the grass and weeds turn yellow because at that time was in dry season and the lake water level dropped. Views[1091]
     
    Sunset Jump, Ranu Pani, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, Indonesia, July 2011. Ranu Pani is a hilly and sloping village located at an altitude of about 2000 meters above sea level. When the night is come around 6 p.m. in the afternoon, you can see the sun set at this point of hill. People here lives in the temperature about 5 Celcius degrees and for those who not used to live in low temperature should do acclimatization first, or if don't would suffer from hypothermia. Ranu Pani is a mountain lake in Lumajang, East Java, Indonesia, at the foot of Mount Semeru with the extent of 4 acres. If the air is bright and the sky is really dark in the afternoon, thousands of stars can be seen clearly from this point of Ranu Pani. This photo was taken around 6 p.m. in the afternoon.
