Between the devil and deep sea-Little voyage leaping the world in 71 days
Oo, whom you know best...
Nor you but yourself
He whom has lost
Seek the answer within
Never will never again
Heart is the key
For homeless traveler
Path thru the abyss
For the devil is your friend
Oo, whom you know best..
For he closer than your vein
Is the only place to come home
If tomorrow never comes......
Got my first hitchhike in Hawaii, that 4- seater blue sedan stopped and without talking, gave sign to me to get in. Feeling awkward, I got in and sat at the backseat. She asked “where are you going from this nowhere place?” “Nearest town where I can get a bus!” I replied without hesitant. After being passed by fifties to seventies cars, this is my best bet to go home.
People of the world called it the Caribbean sea. Legendary pirate stories of sharks, intrigues and secret treasures boggling deep under my childhood memories. I am waiting for the dive master to guide me discovering that infamous “Angelita cenote” where salt and fresh water meets but not mixed.
Lying under that azure blue sky that meets the clear tortoise Caribbean ocean, where as far as eyes gazing at horizon lines, limitless peaceful view is the only thing you got. Stranded on heavenly earth like this, feels like, like falling in love. I remember her, again.
After those two fatty hammerhead sharks passed by now it is those ‘white tip ‘masses rule the territory. Watch your move buddy; otherwise you are going to be their next lunch! Acting bold still got the cool to shoot them at save range. Such a grace creature...
Made from cassava by the villagers, the descent smell from the cooking knocking on my nose. Blatantly filing the nostrils and went deep inside to feel the hungry worms that crawling, begging and rucksacking my tummy. Nack! Nack! Its raining outside. Can’t believe that I was sitting here with the Amazonians. Deep in this rain forest.
For God my soul to take, how grateful I am to be leaping this earth witnessing God’s grace. For even whole scientists and expertise on earth bound to one, they will never ever solve the earth mysteries!
Thin air, gasp, breath difficulties, my body getting weaker, my legs trembling. I saw those girls kept climbing up. I just got to make it! Somehow I was rethinking the plan to summit that highest volcanic mountain in Africa. I might be there, I might not, why the worries. Just, if tomorrow never comes. 4800 meters at last!
Ah, a time traveler? God! I did that! It was the leap from Korea to Hawaii. I smiled, funny how I did that. No wonder, my budget was short of one day. Now I know why. This new quarto has a mission today, to discover that so called ‘mind-blowing’ experience as told in one of traveling book. We‘ll see that.
To be continued....
