My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I'm a post graduate student in Signal Processing, and photography to me is a tool for communicating my thoughts. I strive to use this tool for the cause of a social and political change in this world.

I started 'shooting' a year ago with a point and shoot and later upgrade to a second hand D-SLR. I've not been able to travel much but this made me to focus on my locality, its people and its concerns more. Upon starting my research activities the next year, I plan to to also take photojournalism alongside as a profession.

I've been shooting some self projects; meanwhile, thinking of starting a project that'll challenge my process and thoughts. I want that to have atleast a small impact on the current world status. Apart from war and poverty, I'm in search of the other 'also important' factors affecting lives of people.

I dream big, one day, atleast one of the pictures I take will be of some help to the mankind, even if it is the very least of help.

Finally, if I win this scholarship, I believe I can make the most of it with mentoring from Jason. Techniques, concepts, and aspects of photojournalism and travel photography will help me realize my dream, one day.
