My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I'm an Australian who moved to Paris, France 10 years ago to dance at the world famous Moulin Rouge. Knowing that dance is a short career, I took a deeper interest in photography. So I enrolled in the Speos International Institute of Photography and graduated a year later with honors.
Finding my place as a photographer in Paris is not an easy task. There's a lot of competition, but I keep pushing myself to learn more so one day I can be up there with the best. I want to sell my photos, hold exhibitions and own my own galleries, but I feel I still have so much to learn.
My other passion is travel. Living in Europe I've been lucky enough to make it part of my lifestyle. Travel is the best education! I want to see the world and photograph it's beauty. There's so much beauty on this planet which people forget about or are too close minded to see. With photos we can remind them that life is a wonderful thing.
I want to experience the world, capture it all and share it. National Geographic is the ultimate goal, it'd be a dream come true to work for them. I would be honored to win this prize and work with an expert who can critique my work, teach me and push me further toward my goal.
