My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

When I was in 1st grade, my teacher asked us: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I remember I thought about being an astronaut, or a fireman, but after much thought I said, innocently, “I want to be a tourist”. As I grew older I was able to define travelling as one of my few true passions. I thrive on happiness, fear, enthusiasm, panic, nervousness, and so many other emotions I feel when I go to a new place. The chaos, smells and colors of Morocco, the extraordinary views of Italy, the old walls in Spain, or the joyful and warm culture that fill Mexico are embedded in my soul now. I crave to meet new people, learn about their customs and traditions, understand their beliefs, and absorb their essence. But it is hard to share and keep those memories. And here is where my other passion, photography, filled that void. I think that sometimes I can write with images, without the use of words. This passion led me to study Multimedia Journalism in college, and I’m sure it will guide my career from now on and give me plenty of learning experiences. Today I would like to get the opportunity to receive the scholarship, and learn to fulfill even more my passions.
