My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Diana Miller. I was born in Oklahoma, USA but grew up in Venezuela South America. I came to Oklahoma at the age of 17 not knowing English or the culture. It was very hard for me to adapt. It took me about a year to learn the language, and I am still learning new things about this country.
My passion for photography happened by accident. I spend many years clueless about what I wanted to do with my life. I was depressed for a while. With no college degree, married with kids, and no career I decided to take private classes with a photographer/friend of mine. I learned everything about a camera. I started to take pictures just for fun, and I notice how people appreciated my pictures. They mentioned how good I was becoming.
So on fall of 2012, I decided to go back to college and study Photography. I cannot express how happy I am with this decision. I was born to take pictures. I was born to look at the world through my camera.
This adventure will help me in my career and experience. I will learn new techniques, and I will have the opportunity to meet new people. Please give me the chance to experience this amazing opportunity and learn something new. Thank you!!!
