The world as I see it

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

India | Sunday, January 13, 2013 | 5 photos

I found my passion in photography ever since I captured that first picture of the world around me. I felt something soothing and deep about it that just speaks to my soul. "A picture speaks a million words" made an impression on me. Photography became a way for me to express the world around me and my thoughts and feelings.

I started off with a point and shoot, trying various angles and compositions, this camera became my best friend. When I was old enough, I invested in a DSLR, which just changed the way I looked at photography. I've never had a formal training in photography. I started to pick up things by discussing with friends who had the same interest and by reading tips and advises from experienced photographers.

This passion blends in perfectly with my love for travel. Capturing what I saw when I traveled became a part of me. The photos were my memories frozen in time.
For practical reasons, I have a day job, but in reality I want to purse my passion. I want to be able to produce quality photos, to be able to continue creating memories. I want the world to see what I see through my lens and experience what I feel when I capture that magical moment.
