My name is Blake and I am an young writer aspiring to see the world and experience life. There is a quote by John Green that I have become quite fond of lately- "I am in love with places I've never been and people I've never met." This quote begins to tell the story of my encounter with wanderlust and my passion for learning from those I meet and places I go. I am a strong believer in the idea that traveling is life's best educaiton. By encompassing yourself in new places, among new people, I have never felt more in tune with my senses. Traveling allows you to see yourself at a raw state, sometimes totally vulnerable to your frustrations and weaknesses but it teaches you about how you handle yourself in an unmasked world, completely outside your comfort zone and, in my opinion, makes you a stronger and wiser person for it. Writing about my travels has always been goal of mine. I love conveying stories of people I met, food I ate, places I have discovered by getting lost in a city and finding my way back. Intertwining my love of language and travel into my writing helps build my understanding of the world around me and I hope to be able to continue that passion by developing my writing in order to share my experiences with others, especially my fellow wanderlust addicts.
