I am a keen traveller and an amateur photographer. I love nature. My favourite things to photograph would have to be waterfalls. I have always been slightly obsessed.
I would love to visit all the biggest and best waterfalls in the world, however size isn't everything. The main reason I love waterfalls is that no two are the same. Different heights, different widths, different depths all contribute to its unique display. Waterfalls don't just look great; they have a sound and a scent. Very powerful waterfalls can roar a deafening and unending tune, whilst a smaller one can be tranquil and peaceful. When the water is broken over several cascades, or smashes against rocks at the bottom the vapour fills the air creating a humidity and scent. All of these elements are a treat for your senses.
I love nature generally of course, and I think photographing wildlife would be challenging and rewarding. Mountain ranges, lakes and fields all make wonderful subjects to photograph. There is nothing like the outdoors. I can’t get enough.
