A Lifetime Is Not Enough

My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Israel | Sunday, October 17, 2010 | 5 photos

My name is Darya Vselubsky, I was born in Eastern Europe and I am a true world traveler. If I am not traveling, I am making potential travel itineraries and adventures for people I encounter. I hope to make my passion contagious. To be honest, I am an ammeteur photographer. I admit it. However, in life, we must all learn and photography is a passion that must be perfected with time and experience. The photos I took are from my latest trip to Israel. They truly capture the essence of the people, Israeli or not. I tried to portray the vibe of longing and spirit that I felt from observing and learning from these people, this culture. Unique is far from the description. Never ending spirit and dedication to the land are the more correct terms. Passion and commitment, no matter the age. I always wondered what it is like to go through so much humiliation and distress, just like the Jewsih people in the 20th century, yet come out so strong, positive, and focused on preserving their freedom. I, myself, cherish my freedom and like to live each day like its the last. Traveling helped me see this world in new colors, new dimensions. Photography helped me capture moments of pure beauty that I hope to share with others that may not see the bliss that is around them. Together, my two passions in life, photography and travel, create a totally unique perspective on life that I wish to share with others.
