The Bow river getting close to reaching the bottom of this bridge, this one lived to see another day. Many others came to a less fortunate fate.

Thunderstorm rolling over Calgary city before the June 23rd down poor that lead to the displacement of 100,000 people in the region. A city of more than a million people and home to the famous Calgary Stampede. Its Saddle Dome hockey stadium filled up to the 17th row with the muddy flood waters.

Canadian Geese unaffected by the swollen Bow River. Tens of thousands of people less able to adapt to this rapid change in water levels.
