Mexico | Tuesday, November 8, 2011 | 5 photos

Dear National Geographic Channel and Jason,

My history begins when I chose my “Place”. It´s the place it has seen my life, “my grandmother and her house”. They have care since I was born. They have been like my mother. The importance that they have in my life I tried to express in my photographies across her identity objects inside the house. The “Mandiles” that she always wears, each one has a mark of some memories, like when a dog bit me y she cured. The “chal” with she hugged me when I was a baby. Her old work shoes. The pears are the fruit of the tree that she planted when arrived to the house 30 years ago. The pears are her sons and I. The objects are taked in the special places for her, her room, closet, etc.
I´m Daniel Perez Salvador from Mexico, I’m 23 years old, I studied fine arts, since I was a child I like arts and animals, in fact I wanted to study veterinary. But I found in the arts the form to join both of them. I´m a painter. In last months I took a course of Basic photography, Immediately I fell in love the way of express of her and the possibility to keep and revive one unique moment in the personal, social and natural life. I Discovered in Photo a ship to generate conscience that reveals enormous wealth to be appreciated for the human been. That is I want to do with photography. I want to be a part of the opportunity with I Identify and a I can contribute it creativity, dedication, love, work, responsibility and love.
