Scholarship Entry - The Land of Lost Toys

I love small surprises. This museum landed in my lap when I was driving home from Oklahoma City. On a whim I followed the sign to this location. I am a curious person and indulge in curiosity more often than I should. This is the result and I think I can find similar things by continuing to indulge my curiosity.

I am currently a sophomore film student at Southern Methodist university. I've worked on several senior thesis projects, and various webseries around Dallas. With little experience in professional environments I'm still honing my art, but every chance I get I leap at to flex my filmmaking muscle.

This scholarship is a chance to learn. I'm not talking just about film and video presentation. I've traveled to Spain, France, Germany, Israel, Greece, and Italy as well as all over the US (vegas, L.A., Houston, Austin, New York, D.C., Memphis). I think traveling is one of the greatest ways to learn anything and this scholarship would be the ultimate opportunity to learn. I know I'm young. I understand I am less experienced, but I believe that I will feel the impact more strongly than other because I already have some idea of what it means to exist in a whole different world.
