Driving Ireland

IRELAND | Friday, 5 July 2013 | Views [382]

I frame my shot and focus my lens; I breathe with complete focus. The shutter blinks and a moment is captured. A moment that can define, interpret, and express; a moment for the past, the present, and the future. Those variables are what drive me to find the alternative shot and ultimately, the better shot. I am no longer apprehensive to the opportunities that surround me. It may all sound somewhat poetic, or a heap of unjustifiable emotion, but photography is my hobby, my passion and my guide.

I desire a push to explore my capabilities. A new point of uncertainty and challenge is now an inviting concept. I am no longer apprehensive of the opportunities that surround me. I want to learn as much about travel photography as I can with those opportunities, and take advantage of all the knowledge aimed my way. I believe that this scholarship would be an invaluable stepping-stone on the path towards my goal. It will not only help me step outside of my comfort zone, but it will help me grow as an individual and lead me in the right direction to who I want to become: a travel photographer
