Mirrors

NEPAL | Sunday, 23 May 2010 | Views [389]

We are all staring into these giant mirrors, every time our eyes lock

and they are reflecting for us all the we love in ourselves and humankind,

and all the habits we must change in ourselves.

For this we meet people with similar habits as our own to remind us what to keep and what to change. So the we may be the same shining light for others we wish to be for ourselves.

Aaaah. Thats aaah, like letting out a deep breath, not like a sound of panic.

Its been some years actually since I have written. The words I guess we recorded less frequently, but stored none the less. And the travels continued, but in different contexts and with differing desires to share them.

Most recently, I went back to Nepal to play with life and death in the deep mountains of the Anapurna Mountain Range. My first memory of trying to write about this journey, and trying to make myself get into the habit, is taking down some notes of how many hours I would be walking the next day, compared to how much I had already walked that day to remind me that I could indeed do it. And so it was, that some days the sky was black with only a sliver of a moon which could actually only be seen in the daylight. And I had blisters as big as my toes. But a smile and good energy even bigger.

Thats all for now, folks... but its a start. And thats got to happen somewhere. Why not on a dirt road over a rushing river with mountains up above... even if I am now sitting in New York with buildings and electricity buzzing all around.
