Ko Pha Ngan

We decided to extend our stay in Ko samui so we were there for about another 4 nights. We spent most of the days on the beaches and just really relaxing.. We had a few dinners and lunches with Dean & Irit which was really cool.. On our second last night there we decided to venture through Chewang (Ko Samuis Party Central) and it was one hell of a night! We went out for dinner and the best mexican ever! not to mention the 4 vodka redbulls for only $2 each!! We finally ventured to one of the lady boy shows.. I must admit Dale had no intention of going and it was completely my idea.. and boy was that an adventure.. We were quite late getting in and so we were guided right to the front of the stage.. Not a good start haha.. As soon as we sat down we had lady boys saying stuff to us from the stage.. They asked us where we were from etc and they kinda flirted with Dale. We had a few cocktails at 10aud each which was expensive but the show was free so ok and we definately needed the drinks.. the show was crazy.. There were about 50 lady boys doing all sorts of songs and dances and i swear most of the were actually really hot.. and had smoking bodies.. Some were repulsive but most were ok.. We couldnt stop laughing at them though.. Right at the end of the show they grab guys from the audience to do one last dance with them.. And you guessed it..They grabbed Dale.. Shite. Yes I got up on stage. Yes I dressed up in a ridiculous outfit which showed my chest.. it was the best there - the other suckers had to wear short mini skirts.. they made us do a dance and then at the end a short speech before giving us a vodka.. pretty funny. We had to pay them to get our clothes back the cheeky shits.. They also made me feel like an object as they tried to grope me, which I didnt appreciate. Neither did Sem. Anyway we ended up meeting a nice english couple and went for a few drinks with them at another bar.. We ended up getting home at 5am - it was a very funny night!

Anyway so we reluctanty booked a boat ticket to Ko Pha Ngan.. well Dean took care of it.. but anyway we packed up our stuff and were ready for a final night out with Dean and Irit but we were both feeling off after eating some 2 min noodles from 7/11 (we were trying to save money). We ended up staying in and they brought us back some easy food, rice and soup, to try and sort us out. We got the boat the following morning at around 1pm.. it was sad to say goodbye to Dean and Irit and Ko Samui - it was so relaxing there so we didnt know how we'd go at the full moon party and Koh Pha Ngan. We arrived at about 3pm, got a bike and went looking for a place to stay - we found one for 300bht up the top of this hill so we got a work out everytime we went home.. It was a good place for 300 bht, basic but good. We chilled for a bit and then went out ready for the full moon party. We got a few buckets, one whskey one vodka red bull and went to get some food... we sat at this restaurant for ages (watched the Rolland Final - go Federer) and realised it was 1am so headed to the beach... it was crazy! So many people dancing. Was a really good atmosphere everyone was just trashed but having fun... We hung out there for a while, had a few shots here and there, and danced for a bit after the 3rd and 4th bucket etc kicked in.. We sat down for a bit and chilled while loads of guys (and chicks) couldnt seem to find the bathroom and decided to use the beach instead.. It wasnt a pretty site seeing people swimming 2m from where people were doing there thing. But anyway, what can you do. We on the other hand wernt gonna do our deed on any beach so we looked for some bathrooms. We found one in a club which was grimmy as but we were busting. I held the drinks and told Dale to go first. When he came out there was this man trying talk to me and because it was soo loud in the club he was a bit close to my ear. Dale saw this and grabbed the man by his shirt and threw him against the wall. LOL probably not the smartest decision. I could see that the guy was not happy and that this could get ugly. Dale was kinda just staring at me so i grabbed him to take him outside cause the guy was waiting for his mates to come out of the bathroom haha. OK. Now in my defence,  the guy was one of many guys that night who were more than happy to check Sem out right in front of me. I find it rather rude even more so after a bucket. For the record I could hear fine so I dont know why he had to be 2cm from Sems ear to have a conversation. I am not a fisty cuff kind of person but I wont take that kind of shite. OK now my turn. Ill admit i actually found it quite hot that Dale did that LOL. Anyway we were on the beach when the sun started to come up.. it was pretty crazy.. People were passed out in the safe areas and all round the place.. Most people, inc us, continued dancing in to the morning.. we had a few more shots at 6am, 7am and 8am.. Both of us got a little "sick" but we continued dancing along.. Cant believe soo many people were still partying.. Dale some how lost his thongs as did about 1000 other people so he had a lot of options to choose from in the sand.. He ended up with one grey havaina and a fake dark blue one about 3 sizes too big  for him.. Haha and he's still wearing them..Anyway it started to get really hot so we eventually gave in and went back to the bungalow at around 11am. We slept until 5pm and managed to get up and go grab some food.. After eating we felt even more like shit and went back for more sleep...after about 3hrs I decided to get up.. I wandered into the bathroom and noticed this strange brown thing on the floor.. I wasnt really focused and initially thought it was the draw strings from my swimmers.. I stared at it for about 60 seconds before I realised it was a snake. Hmm.. I backed off and told sem using a quick guessing game.. Sem: "Is it a cockroach?", Dale: "No, worse...", Sem: "Is it a tick tick?", Dale: "No, worse...", Sem: "wtf?", Dale: "Its a snake!", Sem: "Bs", Dale: "No shit".. haha you get the point.. I got the toilet hose and sprayed it and it got quite annoyed and came at me.. it was only a baby like 1m long but it was fast.. I kept trying to get it down the open drain but it wouldnt so after pissing it off enough it eventually chased me out of the bathroom.. I covered it with a towel and took it outside.. It was on the deck for a bit and then went into the garden. Sem wasnt impressed and we had very little sleep that night. We decided to leave those bungalows the following morning.. we told the lady that there was a snake in her bungalow and she nearly died.. she was just as shocked as we were... she was very apologetic but we had to go after that incident. We had a good look around and found a place called Sun Cliff which had a/c with hot water for 600bht.. was a pretty good deal so we took it for 4 days. There was no way any snakes were getting into this one.. Sem was pleased. For the next few days we hung out and just went for drives on the motor bike around the island. We pretty much went to every beach accessible by road.. we went to an amazing beach right up the top for a swim.. not may people there which made it that much better. Unfortunately we got the news that day that Sems Grandfather passed away on 10/06/09 at 6:44am. May he rest in peace. That was a really big shock. It was so hard being away from home and family.. we tried to get flights back but its so hard on an island as we had to combine boats, taxis, buses and flights so we couldnt make it back in time for the funeral. Very sad. Its been tough but we've soldiered on as thats what he would have wanted us to do. And we hope to god to see him again one day soon. We spent that day at Leela Beach praying for him. It was the most beautiful beach and we found this amazing hut right on the water where we sat for ages thinking of the good times with him. And there are sooo many. We bought Sem a red dress because her grand dad loved her in red and went out for dinner. We decided we should stop crying and try and remember the good times. We sat on the beach where they were having these crazy fire shows. Heaps of people sat around watching. We decided to get back into the buckets which probably wasnt the best idea. We sat on the beach for about 4 hours just talking and chilling. People watching is actually quite funny. We ended up at a club and danced for a good 3 hours. and i requested Soldier Boy woohoo and it came on..you had to be there.. We danced the night away and got home around 6am.. We went for a ride around again the next day/afternoon (we got up about 3pm).. We went for a quick swim on Sunrise beach, then went back to the room and chilled again.. You need to read the Malaysia blog for more info on this bit... After this dilemma was sorted we grabbed some red curry with fried rice (which we'd had from the same place 4 nights in a row). The best curry ever. We watched an episode of friends and our restaurant guys gave us free water and coke.. was very nice.. we tipped them 100bht and said good bye.. We went back to the room and crashed... OK now you need to go to the Malaysia story...

Lv u loads.
