My Photo scholarship 2011 entry
Uruguay | Saturday, September 3, 2011 | 5 photos
im 36 years old, work as a therapeutic riding instructor (after deciding that i wanted to spend my life with horses and outdoor, instead of being a journalist as thats what ive studied: bachelor in mass media communication, emphasis in journalism)
that made my life have a turn of 360º but i cant commit with anything that i cant feel id give my 100%.
i have always loved photography, (really, always, photography was the main reason i entered the communication career) but until now i wasnt sure about sharing my work... i decided to give it a try and seems people enjoy what i see and share.
as a child i lived in mozambique, africa, and never returned to the continent... it was one of the most great experiences i can remember though it wasnt an easy one.
those years are etched in my heart and mind, and id looooove to come back to africa and be able of photographing at least a tiny part of it... its kinda tribute to the place, to my memories and of course to my family. thanks them my feelings towards africa are so deep.
the photos i post are from a horse endurance race i went some time ago... horses have a magic thing, that makes almost everyone enjoy spending time with them, staring at them, petting them, they have the mix of power and gentleness... so what i try to say with the photos its not about the race itself but about the bond between us and them.
