Ready to go!

Sailing trip itineary (I will be crewing from 23rd of June till 25th of September): http://www.alive.cms4people.de/route_description.html

Checklist: Vaccinations, check, visas, check, insurance check, clothes, check, health and beautyproducts as needed, check and my favourite category; toys, check! So what do I bring: Snorkel, flippers, neoprene shoes, superlight hammock, kick scooter, camera, action camera waterproof to 60m, Zoom Q8 sound recorder, e-reader filled with books and my mac.

I also got the things on the list of what to bring that the skipper made (falling overboard at night seems inevitable? he he, see last item).

Things to bring with me:

  • Boat shoes
  • Land shoes (flip flops and sport or hiking shoes)
  • Head lamp
  • Sun crème
  • Sun protection for my head
  • Mosquito spray
  • Sun glasses

Nice to have but can be provided on board

  • Automatic life jacket with safety harness (normally no problem on planes – just demount the CO2 insert and pack it extra or get one on wild one)
  • Rain jacket and rain boots
  • Snorkel and mask and flippers (fins)
  • Waterproof safety flashing light (when you fall over board in the night)
