My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I've let the dream of being a photographer pass me by for far too long, using the excuse that photography is too expensive & talking myself out of it. This last year I decided that I could not take it anymore & bought myself a camera. It has opened up my world more than I had ever imagined & brought so much more life into my everyday. I love to travel, in my early 20's I spent months at a time living out of vans & showering at truck stops. Everyday was an adventure but I missed out on so much because I did not have my camera. Now everyday I wake up in the same bed, drive the same route to work & deal with the same issues. Every chance I get, I go out to capture the world with my camera. My social life has plummeted but living behind this lens has brought new life to me. I want to be on the road, in the air, on the sea with no clue to how things are going to turn out but the world is my canvas. I have had no schooling for photography. I still have a lot to learn. I would love to travel with Jason & have him show me the ropes & help guide me in the right direction. My name is Robin & I am thankful for your time, consideration & this fantastic opportunity.
