So this is about take 10 of my once was clever, but probably isn't anymore journal entry, but what do you expect from a place that is only 15 Baht (about 37 cents) per hour. The first computer I used had a "t" that didn't work and then it froze, the second had a mouse malfunction and then... it froze... Anyway, this is my third day in Asia. I don't know what the day actually is because I'm confused. (Most people already know that, but I am here moreso than usual.) Anyway, I flew into Bangkok, which is a place I would say left much to be desired, and I stayed at a hotel not far, I learned the next day, from the Red Light district... that explains a lot... Anyway, I ended up staying in a hostel on the other side of town the next night and spent a fraction of the price for a place that wasn't much worse. I ate at a really nice organic vegetarian Thai restaurant that I found on a hunt for someplace else... mmm, green curry and beer... Then, I met two guys from London at my hostel and they taught me how to say some bad British phrases and some other slang. On that note, I'm having a bollocks of a time in Asia. It's bloody great! My brother is a wanker! :) We drank some Tiger beers and watched Blood Diamond outside my hostel. Apparently, that's the cool thing to do... a few places showed American movies outside. I ended up hanging out with them again yesterday afternoon and we drank some more beers and played cards for a good chunk of the afternoon. After that I took the river ferry, which brought me to the Skytrain, which brought me to the Vietnam embassy where I got my visa... and then back to the Skytrain and eventually to the train station where I took a looooong ass 14 hour train ride to Chiang Mai where I am now. I met two Swedish dudes who were sitting/sleeping across from me and we decided to stay in the same place here... it's called Smile Guesthouse... I liked it because it sounded happy :) So, I've walked around most of the day checking out a whole bunch of the millions of Wats they have here and eating some delicious food and playing in the rain and now I think it's about time I take a nap so I can get all rested for the Night Bazaar (sounds more exciting than it probably will be) I'm not posting any pictures because I don't feel like it...
