With three days to go I thought I ought to have a go at this travel journal to make sure it worked and people could see it.
I've spent the last week and a half in a bit of a controlled panic, organising things and double-checking all the arrangements were sorted, while Lydia sat calmly by, safe in the knowledge that come thursday, we'd be getting on a plane come hell of high water! The result is that everything is still done and I'm starting to calm down and enjoy the run-up to the trip. (Yes, I knew it would work out - L).
For those who want to check what we're doing for the next couple of months, this is going to be an overland epic, starting in Russia and ending in Singapore before flying to Australia. There's more after that, but... (ha ha ha - I have hijacked the computer! Where were we, yes, the arduous journey that we're undertaking. To be honest I'm sick of talking about it and just want to be on the road. And by road I mean train..... I see myself eating lots of chocolate and reading good books on the trans siberian, riding a yak, plodding along the Great Wall of China and suffering with Phuket Pants all the way through SE Asia. Anyway back to Duncan) Bloody theiving Auzzies!
Ok, so I think that's enough for a trial run. Lots of love
