My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

China | Sunday, September 11, 2011 | 5 photos

I am a Filipino computer engineer that loves photography. Since graduating in 2009, I worked and then bought my first DSLR to pursue on developing my creative skills.

I worked for a couple of IT companies until I decided to join a media company. Now working for a small media company as an IT guy, my dream of becoming a photographer came closer when our company was chosen to tour Harbin but our company's photographer can't come. Our editor knew I was a hobbyist photographer so I was picked to represent our company.

In Harbin for the first day, it kind of sinked in to me that I really love capturing life's moments. And I love to travel.

I toured for five days, shooting every living and non-living things. People, structures, scenic areas, plants, and animals. It was tiring but to say it is satisfying is an understatement.

I could have shown more pictures showing the city of Harbin but my submitted photos shows Volga Manor in Harbin, China. I chose the pictures because I was impressed by the wonderful architecture and sceneries of the place.

If I win, every second will be very valuable for me. Knowledge, experiences, the moments. And I'll try capture all of those moments, however way I can.
