After the Camino I had planned to visit Barcelona, but my heart was already in Italy, so I found myself "a Roma."
My brothers (Pier, Marco, Valerio) took special care of me. I had been to Rome many times when I lived in Florence, but seeing the city through their eyes was a whole new experience.
I stayed with Pier and his parents, and each day and night the boys had arranged a beautiful itinerary. I visited with each of their families- an incredible dinner at Valerio's, lunch with Marco (and his Grandmother made me a jar of his favorite sauce to take back with me). I also spent an afternoon and had a lovely dinner with Sandro from my first Italian family on the Camino!
It was very difficult to say goodbye. My love for the boys grows with every day...they are truly my fratellini (little brothers).
