My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My Dad had a huge collection of National Geographic magazines when I was growing up, and although I rarely read the content (sorry), I would spend hours admiring all the photos.
For me, photography is a form of expression. It’s a way of viewing and sharing the world from a perspective that most people do not see. Most importantly, photography captures our experiences. A good photo will capture not just an image, but also the emotions and story behind the image.

Why should I win?
If the photos submitted last year are anything to go by, there will be no shortage of talented and deserving applicants. At the end of the day all I can hope for is that I am able to capture the emotions, stories and experiences behind the photos.

What do I want out of this scholarship?
Experience!
The opportunity to learn from Jason and develop my photography skills would be an amazing experience in its own right. But my true passion is in the experience of living. Visiting new places, meeting new people and immersing myself in new cultures and challenges. This scholarship would be a truly amazing experience and the art of photography allows me to capture these moments and share them with the world.
