My Scholarship entry - The Colours of Bulgaria

Bulgaria | Monday, November 24, 2014 | 5 photos

I discovered the art of travelling back in 2012, when I went on my Erasmus studies in Poland. This was the first time I spent more than a week abroad, so it was not just another journey, it was THE journey that opened my eyes, heart and senses. I lived with the whole world under my roof - sharing a dormitory with people from Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Czech, Lithuania, Russia, the USA, Brazil, China and many others... You can thus easily understand why "opening my eyes" meant also taking the camera in my hand and discover the beauty and the sense of the world in a new way. Now wherever I go, I always take my camera. Even my home town, where I lived for 18 years, turned into a new field to explore.

For 4 years already I've been working as a TV reporter which led me to the passion of visual arts.
In my free time, I regularly organize photo shooting walks with people in Sofia (my current location), which actually teaches me a lot about photography. I hope that soon I will release my photo blog.

My name is Velianna Kasheva, I am 24 years old and I come from Bulgaria.
