My Scholarship entry - Finding My Happy Place

I am a very unlikely traveller. I’ve suffered from a severe panic disorder ever since I was very young and, about 12 years ago, I couldn’t leave my house. Today, I'm a digital nomad, travelling the world and copywriting for a living. The turnaround is a total miracle. I pinch myself every single day.
For a long time, I felt hopeless. I couldn’t lead a normal life and my anxiety forced me to leave several jobs. By my mid-twenties, I couldn’t step outside my front door. Travelling changed my life by opening up the world to me. My travels may still be spiked with panic attacks, but I'm living proof that you can fight your demons and follow your dreams at the same time.
My blog is an honest account of travelling with an anxiety disorder constantly on my tail. I write to inspire other anxiety sufferers and help end the stigma surrounding mental health.
Photos are a huge part of my blog and definitely the best way to inspire wanderlust. I am a pretty ceaseless snapper, but I have no real idea what I'm doing. I would LOVE to learn from an expert. Crikey. It would just be magical. Seriously magical. And the Amazon? Crumbs alive. What. An. Adventure.
Yes please. Pretty please.
