Festivals in 3

I'm a Canadian student who has been living abroad for 2 years. Since I was young, I have been traveling by car, bus, train and plane. Traveling to me is the chance to leave behind your everyday life and try new things while being immersed in a culture. Festivals are one of the best ways to do so because they are a celebration where another person is always welcome to join in. I have never made a video to show to the 'public' before, instead I have made videos for family and friends. However, I want to reach more people with my experiences. Travel films allow people to explore and have fun, even when they can't leave their house. I want to become a part of that process. As a filmmaker I want to convey the excitement and wonder that comes with traveling, and in order to do so I need to improve the way I communicate. Winning this scholarship would mean that I've managed to convey a fraction of my journey in a way that someone has enjoyed. It would also mean that I could improve my videos to the point where even more people can join me in my travels, by learning new skills, getting professional advice and discovering things that only come with experience.
