Each time I gaze into my camera, everything around me stops and nothing matters except capturing that moment in time and preserving it forever. When I am behind my camera I am empowered.
Upon returning from a trip, the first thing on my mind is sharing my photos with those nearest and dearest to my heart, as well as anyone else who is willing to take a glance. My passion for photography stems from the desire to share my experiences with others. My hope is for my photography to spark interest and curiosity in people that may lead to adventures of their own or allow them to experience things and places that would have otherwise been inaccessible to them. I strive to allow them to see the beauty, as well as the hardships in the world through my lens.
I am a recent college graduate exploring my career possibilities as a photographer and looking for my place in the world. This scholarship would allow me to grow both personally and professionally in ways I could have never dreamed of before stumbling upon this amazing opportunity. It would grant me the chance to prove myself as a photographer and hopefully lead to a career that will allow me to share my images with the world.
