We are Clyde & Kay Miller – dubbed Clay by our adult children at our wedding in February 2012. The first 6 months of our marriage we often pondered what God might have in store for us in the coming years. We knew he had great plans! We just had to be patient.
How we got here in the first place.
Finding ourselves single late in life, yet knowing we would prefer to do life with a partner … God in his infinite wisdom had plans. He definitely wasn’t finished with us yet, so he uses us to sharpen each other. Ouch! But it’s more than good!
A friend recommended a book, “How to Retire, Happy, Wild & Free”.WE read, listened, listened and listened again to this fabulous, “out of the box thinking book”. It is for those interested in doing life a little differently, but that anyone of any age will enjoy. Check it out on Amazon.
As our days on this earth race along, we realize we are not getting any younger. Due to an accident, Clyde was unable to continue the long hours of standing/sitting with his employment. Traveling, serving, sharing & encouraging others along their life are our passions. Since we are still capable of traveling (with many potty breaks and frequent stops to stretch our legs, arms, back and body), we decided to take the plunge. Kay has an adventurous spirit and thought we would enjoy an RV. Clyde, is such a willing spirit and said “yes”! Attending a conference where Howard & Linda Payne with RV-Dreams spoke on full-time living, convinced us we were on the right track!
The next steps were to create the budget, research and purchase the motorhome, sell the house & retire, for now. If we spend too much and have to work camp it will still be worth it!
… Then we did what we do best, Redirect. Since we currently have family temporarily living in Europe, we decided we should visit now!
So, join us as our European adventure begins … on a transatlantic cruise to Barcelona, a visit with family in Tunisia & Belgium, serving on a mission team in Warsaw, Poland and exploring Europe in a motorhome. BTW, did I mention a Canal Boat adventure in Sawley Marina, England?
