My name is Clara de Ramon, I’m 18 years old and I’m an aspiring photographer from Barcelona.
I’ve been fascinated with photography since I first picked my father’s camera when I was 12. As I grew older I started carrying my camera wherever I went, taking photos of my friends, my trips, my everyday life.
Even though I am a rather shy person, I like to think of photography as a way to express myself and through which people can get to know me. I can’t think of a better way to communicate what I think or feel than taking pictures.
I have a desire for exploring the world, always with my camera, to capture moments that otherwise would have slipped away forever. I know have a lot to learn but I am eager to improve my skills and learn as much as possible, and that’s why I would love to win this scholarship.
I always dream that eventually I will work with something related to photography, travelling around the world, knowing new cultures and places.
Winning this competition would sum up two of my greatest passions and therefore I would be so happy if I were given this fantastic opportunity.
As for me, that’s pretty much it.All that’s left for me to do now is hope you like my pictures!
