the photos are from yala national park in Sri Lanka. we found this leopard cub hence the title of the journal cubby, up on this tree scared of a family of wild boar. he went through phase on the tree one of fear the of and instinct to hunt the boar and showed his inexperience by getting distracted by flying birds above. and he also took a liking to the sound of the camera by looking straight at it. the best part was his decent off the tree which was funny and according to the tracker he has never seen a leopard cub climb down in that manner.
I am law student. but i have a real passion for wildlife and through photography i have got the chance to get close to these animals and would like to show them to the world for every one to enjoy and in the process help protect them and their environment. my goal in life is to one day make wildlife shows for tv. i have had no training with the camera at all.
winning this competition would be the perfect start i need to complete my life goal and would also fulfill my dream to go to africa which i have wanted since i was small but never got the chance to.
