Japanese Baths

JAPAN | Saturday, 7 July 2007 | Views [2226] | Comments [3]

Japanese baths are amazing.  We decided to take it easy today.  We took the Yurikamome Line (an elevated train line) to one of Tokyo's baths, Ooedo-onsen Monogatari.  The journey was great, we got to see a side of Tokyo we hadn't been to yet and the train took us over a huge suspension bridge.  When we arrived at the baths we were given a yukata each to wear inside.  The foot bath was our first port of call as this area is for men and women (see photo attached).  The water was lovely and warm.  After a while we decided to go our separate ways, the open air and indoor baths are divided into male and female areas only.  There were a selection of baths, jacuzzis and saunas.  The womens' area even had open air barrel baths.  It was just so relaxing.

Hi Ciaran and Ruth,

We have really enjoyed looking at all the updates everyday. We are here with Edel and Niall and we have gone through all the wedding photos from the links we got, they are lovely.

Kildare won today: 2-13 to Roscommon 1-13. Kildare hurlers also won 0-24 to 1-11 for London.

The weather is fairly rainy here at the moment so we're hoping it will get better.

Take care, we will keep looking at the updates everyday.
