Rain

JAPAN | Friday, 29 June 2007 | Views [523] | Comments [1]

After a late breakfast we decided the take the metro to Ueno, the biggest park in Tokyo.  Like Phoenix Park, Ueno is the home of the city's zoo.  This was our first port of call.  Half way during our visit it started to lash rain.  Instead of going back to the hotel, we decided to finish our walk around the zoo, and then visit a Shinto shrine in the park.  By the time we got back to the hotel we were soaked through.  We dried ourselves off and went out for dinner in the lively Roppongi area.  This was the first time we experienced crowded Tokyo.  Friday night is obviously the night to go out here!
