The Rise & Descent (Guapulo, Ecuador)

It all begins with a small obsession and restlessness of mine with Remembering.
Ever since I was given my mothers point-and-shoot camera six years ago, to presently ambling around with a Canon G11 that's practically tattooed to my body everywhere I go, I've never stopped being fascinated by the remarkable ability and power that these devices have in channeling my condition into a mere piece of plastic and metal. Particularly, with an incredible vividness and clarity that I could only DREAM of having in my mental memory.
And so with this, a new flavor of excitement has been born through photography, for it's become my quest to attain a residual validation of having been to all the places I've visited. But most importantly, a validation that I've immersed myself in them and extracted the visual essence of what it was like to experience them all.
It's opened up a new realm and thirst for Adventure for me in this sense: travel is the impetus, photography is the keepsake. And with this new dimension added to my experiences I've became incredibly fond of capturing everything, as true and close as possible to the wondrous feeling/impression they give me, through the lens of my camera.
