My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Capturing the natural beauty of the world is one reason I want to be a photographer. It also goes hand in hand with documentary film maker, which is another endeavor I'm undertaking at the moment.

I prefer my photography as natural as possible. If editing is required it has to be minimal or else it's not a good shot.
This is something that appeals to me about this comp. It's about capturing a moment in camera. Showing off your photographic skills instead of your computer skills.

With this experience I hope to take my photography to the next level. To learn how to better capture the scene in front of me. To achieve the type of photography I know I can do.
After this I would love to take the skills learnt and continue to travel and show people sights they wouldn't normally get to see in life. Whether it be the tiny details in a rare flower or the spanning vista of a desert night. I want my photography to compel people to explore off the beaten track. To inspire the next generation of travel photographer.
For me though, I want to explore and learn as much as possible in my life but I like to share, and what better way to do that than through photography.
